FAQs Is this a free loan program? Yes. However, Animalearn does require a security deposit for the products that we loan out so we can ensure they are returned for the next borrower. Each product has a security deposit price listed below its description. The security deposit is accepted in the form of a valid VISA or MasterCard credit card number, check, or purchase order number. No debit cards! Will I be billed? No charges will ever be placed on your credit card or purchase order, nor will your check be deposited unless the materials are not returned to Animalearn within the time prescribed, in which case the full purchase price will be charged. All efforts will be made to contact the borrower prior to applying charges. Borrowing from Animalearn How do I borrow a product? All you need to do is fill out the Loan Agreement Form below. Some items have limited availability so be sure to send in your agreement at least a month ahead of time to ensure that your requested item is available. Always allow one week for shipping. Animalearn will pay to ship the item to you, but you are responsible for shipping it back to Animalearn via insured mail. If you need help selecting the best non-animal alternative that will meet your needs, please call Animalearn at (800)729-2287, and we can help you. What if I need assistance? Technical assistance is available from Animalearn. Our staff is ready to assist you if you need help selecting, installing, loading, or viewing your loaned items. We are available at (800)729-2287 or info@animalearn.org Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. E.S.T. to help you. How do I return the alternative to you? Animalearn ships products through United Parcel Service (UPS). We ask that you ship the item(s) back through UPS or the US Postal Service, and that you insure the package in the amount of the item's value so that you are not held responsible for loss or damage to the item(s). What if I want to buy a product? If you would like to purchase any of the products that are on loan through The Science Bank, we can direct you to the manufacturers. Animalearn does not sell any of the items that we lend. Agreement Form I agree to use the following borrowed items strictly as products on loan. The items borrowed will not be duplicated in any way or kept longer than the indicated time. The borrowed items are to be used in the fashion which they were intended and will not be removed from the premises without written consent of Animalearn. The borrowed items are to be returned in two weeks, unless otherwise specified, and are to be returned in the original condition in which they were received. Any damage resulting from the use or shipping of these products will be my responsibility to replace/pay for repair. To ensure financial responsibility, I allow Animalearn to pre-authorize my credit card for a security deposit for the time during which the item is borrowed. My credit card will not be charged unless the item(s) is not returned in acceptable condition, or by the date specified, unless other arrangements are made prior to that date. All items in The Science Bank are the property of Animalearn and are not for sale.
